Tonight we watched John McCain's pick to become Vice President (if by some freak political miracle he gets elected).
We didn't see a Vice President, a possible 'commander-in-chief' present herself this evening.
We saw a yipping, heel-nipping chihuahua.
We understood her, in other words she was nasally articulate. However, the highlights of her address were verbal assaults on the press and her Democratic opponents -- mockery, snide remarks, sarcasm and personal attacks were the fare she served up.
There was very little positive or uplifting in what she said this evening. Sarah Palin certainly excited the old white folks in the auditorium ... but tomorrow is another day and America is a place that looks very different than the Republican convention.
